![]() Yoko Taro: Ah, about this… someone asked me this before. In Drakengard 3’s records, “Prometheus’ Fire” occurred in 5645, but in NieR: Automata, it occurred in 7645. Year 6230, humans manufactured new weapons called “dragon” and used them in battle. About these mutual enemies, there is a connection behind the scenes, but I can’t say the reason right now, it’s a secret. Yoko Taro: First of all… the book with the timeline was surely only sold in Japan, so didn’t think you would find it. Is there any connection between “Red Eye”’s resurrection in 3276 and the plot of Drakengard and Drakengard 2? If that wasn’t enough then after a lot of digging on the Drakengard wiki’s, there is very interesting interview in which Yoko Taro is asked about the Kingdom of Night and the Dragon weapons mentioned and his response among a couple other interesting question is this: Its also ironic timing because I have been working on a Nier/Drakengard universe theory that had a lot to do with this particular entry in timeline and how it could tie with the Drakengard universe (is it possible to plug something you haven’t made yet?) Feel like pretty strong evidence that the new Nier game may take place here. The interesting vagueness of the “Dragon” weapon, the introduction of the Night Kingdom in the Yorha Boys stage play and Yoko Taro seemingly for no reason dropping that Accord will be there. *This is the region of the earth that’s permanently night, which includes North and South America.Īnd the big drop that Yoko Taro gave after the stage play is that Accord, the time travelling, retro phone using android from Drakengard 3, is currently there. ![]() YoRHA, resistance members, other androids from the orbital bases, as well as the androids fighting in the kingdom of night* are all equal below the council of humanity. Are there any androids above YoRHa in the chain of command who’re responsible for calling the shots in the war against the machine lifeforms? Elsewhere in the 50 questions part of the Nier Automata Strategy Guide, Taro briefly elaborated on the Night Kingdom. “The production and deployment of new “Dragon” weapons began to support the war effort in the “Night Kingdom”.ĭragon weapons …. The Council of Humanity deploys the new “Dragon” weapons into battle. Entered 585 years after the fires of Prometheus, in which Beepy the machine boss we fight in the original Nier, emerges from the junk Heap in the year 5645 and becomes a god figure for the machines, references in the ending B cutscene …. However that one entry is incredibly fascinating. The Night Kingdom as of yet has only been mentioned once on the Nier/Drakengard timeline. Firstly is the setting seen in the stage play, the Night Kingdom. But what was perhaps just as interesting is that after the play Yoko Taro dropped some possible hints/ or he just said it to fuck with us, it can really be either with Taro. I’ll have a link to a brief overview of the stage play in the description below. Set before the events of Nier Automata, the Yorha Boys stage play saw the origins of the scanner models (9S’s model) who embark on a mission to the Night Kingdom. With the release of the new Yorha boys Stage Play, Yoko Taro dropped some interesting hints about certain characters and possible hints towards the next games setting. So we have just gotten some pretty big hints towards the next Nier game.
